Rolex cooling head

I have the Associated GT 8.0 and think the cooling head is too small for it. (actually someone told me it looked like it belongs on a .28) Now everytime I look at it I am thinking they are right. Its hot over here in Western Australia and am thinking I need a much bigger one, (and maybe even a bling one like the one ROLEX has) and were wondering if anyone over in the good ol' USA knows if there's a place there I might find one suitable.
Finding one here in Aus would be like pulling hens teeth.

The one I just added to the Savage is from Nova. That's the only place I could find a head that fit the new 4.6.

I usually got cooling heads from ACNCM.
That's American CNC Machining. GOOD stuff.

Thanks Rolex. Sorry to hear. I have been on the Nova website and they dont make one for the 8.0. I may have the answer in that I have been looking under cars, of course the 8.0 is a Heli motor.

Check on ACNCM's site, but I don't think you'll find that head there. Is your current head causing the engine to run hot?

To be honest I havent run it yet. But the guys that know have already put the fear in me.
It could be a storm in a tea cup but seriously the head is a full half inch smaller in diameter, and 1/4 inch smaller in height than the CEN 7.7.
In fact the stock head on the 4.6 in my savage is only 3mm smaller diameter, and the same height, with 2 extra fins, although they aren't as deep.
I guess I should try before I panic.

Did you buy it new or used? If it's new, you're fine. If it's used someone might have thrown one on that fit because the stock head was badly beaten. If that's the case you'll need a new one.

If this is your engine and head below, then it's the stock setup. When properly tuned and broken in, you'll only need a larger one if you're have a problem with high temps.

It was new. And yes that is the exact one. I know the cooling fins are deep, (outside to inside) and that will make a big difference, but being a nitro guru, who likes good lookin mills, dont you think it SHOULD be bigger?

Keep it for the break in, then go for the bling. Bigger is better, and bright is so right!
