RJ Speed pro mod tuning.

I have a pro mod running a castle sidewinder 3 with a 7700kv castle. Trying to gear it. What size pinion should I try, with that 7700kv motor

Not the stock gearing. 25 tooth pinion(not stock) 81 tooth spur (stock).

It jitters off the line.

The temps of the esc and the motor will help to narrow down a safe gearing range for you. Next time you run, get the temps after a few runs. Pay attention to the ambient temp as well. If it's hot out, they tend to run hotter as well. Tracking your gearing and temps after a while will help get you dialed in, dead on!
