Found some pics of the Fokker D-7 I built a few years back. This was my second "scratch-build." (If that is what you want to call it.)
Was Nick Uravitch (sp?) plans.

I still have the engine and radio. Engine has been in 3 aircraft. Radio in 2?
Think I have a few other small parts? Wheel plane, outer struts?
I did manage to fly it for 3yrs though..

Sorry no pics of the crash scene.

My condolences, sorry for your loss. It looks like it was a great plane to fly.

Lost her about 3 yrs ago, but just came across the pics.
It's all good.

Was a great flier. The plans were pretty good too.

I love building planes. What a joy to lay out a blueprint and see something so beautiful come together.
I always take a long break of a week or two before I cover them because the airframe is a thing of beauty.

I enjoyed myself for about 2 weeks on it real hard. (Always loved that aircraft.)
Just about had it cut out and framed up in 2 weeks. Burn-out set in and it was probably 2 years before I finished it.

I'll get to the point of seeing how it's going to look and I might move to something else.

I love plans. Just looking them over and trying to figure out how they were doing it. Maybe coming up with something different?

I'm wanting to build a plane just for that reason. I look forward to taking a set of plans and building a real thing of beauty. Then on the next one, I will look the plans over and make improvements and change things up so the plane will better fit me.

I've never built a plane, either from plans or in kit form, that I didn't change something. I even built a few for other people, then explained what I changed and why.
