Every time I watch it I have flashbacks of basic training. I always thought he should have gotten an Academy Award for that role. He was absolutely incredible.

It sort of hit me hard in a way, just the thought. Even the best of us will meet our demise. I joined the Army in the early 90s and quite a few DS tried to emulate him one way or another. RIP Gunny, we’re going to miss you.
