I was watching the news every day hoping they would find him...Its to bad.
And its good that his wife and kids made it out alive..
A few of you guys said that you would go out and do the same thing he did.
As A very experienced High country hiker and Hunter..I have to say...Never try to walk out in the extreme country like he was in...
the only way I would ever try it is if i had the proper gear(Water, water proof clothes, hats.gloves,Flash light,GPS,And a way to build a fire)
In the years of hunting and hiking in the high montains..I have seen and heard of many people dieing doing just what he did..
I my self have been in some very bad places in the montains. Its not fun at all.
Two years ago my little brother thought it was fine to go out in to a area that he knew nothing about...He had no GPS with him....I am lucky that he is still alive..He had enouf since to get to cover.and build a fire..
he was hunting with some good guys..That found him before it got to bad..18 hours in the woods will change you for life.
Its very important to keep your head...DO NOT LET FEAR TAKE OVER. Weather conditions can change very fast and swift...One hour you will have a foot of snow and the next hour you can have 3 foot..
It does not take long for hypothermia to kick in.Once that happens out there your pretty much done.
All ways stay with your shelter. In this case the car.
