I had an AE 1/24 TrailRunner truck. Modeled after a Toyota FourRunner. Basic bouncy lightweight trail/crawler. Got it free from Amain with the Gatekeeper purchase. RC car action seemed to like the Carisma products in the past. But they never really said anything negative towards advertisers so there's that bias thing.

I have the 1/24 Enduro Ecto trail truck. By todays standards, it's a bit underwhelming. The 1/10th scale Ecto is awesome, the 1/24th not so much. It's not bad, just nothing special. Needs some work to perform well.

Do a lot of the current hop ups for other 24th scale fit on there?

I got one when the Trail Runner 1/24 first was released, I was very hopeful about it, but turned out to be just average. Much better offerings out there in my opinion. One of the very few recent RC's I sold off.

Would love to Vanquish put out an 18/24 scale version of the Phoenix. I realize it's not their section of the market, but a quick poll of my available cash and space says we would like them to consider it.
Yeah, I'd be all over some 24th scale Vanquish trucks! I doubt they ever do that, but stranger things have happened. We got a 6x6 RC10. Who'd have ever thunk it 😜

Never owned the Carisma stuff, but looked into them awhile back. No upgrades for them kept me from buying one to tinker with. But I want that Ford truck body.

I looked it too, the wheel base is a bit shorter than an scx24. It an even 5in. On that. Which could still be made to work with a little effort...

Well, for a desert racer, that wouldn't be so bad. You could always go with some wider offset wheels since scrub steer wouldn't be much of an issue in the loose stuff.

Injora has some planetary axles that are +8mm track width and ring and pinion gearing.

And if you want to convert the SCX24 over to IFS and trailing arm rear suspension for a true pre-runner, you can do that too.

But the Meus Isokinetic V2's use a ring and pinion, and add +10mm total track wifth. The Injora Planet axles are +8mm track width and have a ring and pinion as well.

And those are for the SCX24.

Well this is just awesome....

I edited the comment about Meus V2 axles having ring and pinion. They still use a worm gear. Go with the Injora. Unless you decide to build one of the pre-runner kits. He recommends Meus axles. But I would ask him about that. He doesn't say which Meus axles to use, unless he does in the vid. But I would try to use the Injora with the ring and pinion.
