He died today.
He was one of the first black stand up comics to go main stream.
A true ground breaker that made me laugh.

Good bye funny man.

oh crap.
not trying to be funny but i thought he had already died  he had his share of challanges

a lot of performers owe there lifestyles to him

rip

He was one of the funniest guys ever! He really knew how to deliver a joke.

Not only that, but his style of slapstick was unrivaled. The worlds' gonna be a sadder place now.

Don't feel bad, I thought he had died years ago as well. Not much was seen of him after he burned himself up.

RIP Richard Pryor

Why did you kill everyone in the house?
Because they was home.

He was burned in 1980.
He has been out of the public eye since the 90"s after he was stricken with MS in 1986 or 87.

I can't remember anything he did after he got burned. Didn't even know he had MS.

His life was definitely full of ups and downs and his last years he just looked horrible. He's on to a better place now where I'm sure he's one of the headliner's! RIP man!

He was a truly gifted comic. Always on the cutting edge. And he forged the way for many many comics that we see today. I think I'm like a lot of people and am truly surprised that he lived this long. But he has left his legacy as one of the true masters.

The MS really did a number on him. I would have thought he was 80, not 65. What a funny man he was! Movies,standup...he could do it all.

Sitting here listening to him now. One hell of a comic. Caught on fire, shot his own car, voodoo monkey.......

Everybody wants to be politically correct now. He was one poop talking mf. Didn't care. Nobody comes close now.

Rest in peace, Richard. Hope you are in a better place. You deserve it.

I'm like you, PS. I didn't realize he was only 65, I thought he was older than that.

True, he had is challenges in life, much like anyone else, but what I admired about him was that, he never tried to hide from it or create some BS cover story or anything like that. I just saw a tribute documentary on him on HBO or something (like three days before he passed away...creepy) and it had portions of his routine on there and they showed the one where he's talking about getting ripped on cocaine and stuff. Sure, he was joking about it, but you could tell he was trying to get a message out there as well.

I tell ya, Richard and Gene Wilder simply cracked my ass up in their movies together! They really were a funny pair when they worked on the same movie!

RIP Richard, don't let the angels give you any grief!
