Revs but doesn't move - please help

my tmax engine is reving ok but the truck won't move/sets off very slowly. sounds like a problem with the transmition but do i need to dismatle it all to find out what the problem is????

Check to make sure it is going into foward.

Yeah, make sure it's not stuck between forward and reverse, and make sure that your slipper is tight.

mine did the same thing a few days ago. slipper was the problem. easy fix.

it is the main drive gear!!!

If it is the 2.5 version you may be having a problem with the internal clutch in the transmission. That has always been a problem area with the 2.5 maxx tranny.

Thanks for your help guys - i've got a couple of questions leading on from these.

It's got reverse??? I didn't think it (TMaxx 3.3) had? how do i check if it is in gear correctly?

Is the slipper clutch the thing attached in the outside of the transmission and do i simpley tighten the nut?

Is there a manual on how to repairs these?

The 3.3 does NOT have reverse.
Yes, just tighten the nut (hold the gear still with your thumb and tighten it)
yes, there are some troubleshooting tips in the manual
