I got a prob, When I'm driving my revo 3.3, it going then it shifts down real fast and revs up real high. does anyone know how to fix it

SOunds like you have an air leak. Have you temped the engine? Check the seal in the tank. There is a certain color the seal is that is known for leaking. If you have checked for that then I would look to the quick fixes..the tank and the lines. Next would be the engine.

if it's jumping back down to 1st gear then revving up high, check the slipper (if the truck has one) or the wheel hexes. Either one of these could be slipping.

so your saying i need less slip or more slip? I also just changed my spur gear from a 38t to a 36t, if that helps any

Bingo folks - slipper is too loose. Try tightening it in 1/16th turn increments, just until the downshift/high rpm stops. Shouldn't take but about an 8th of a turn, at most. Do NOT lock it down; you want it to slip in extreme cases, so it protects your geartrain.

The best way to adjust a slipper is to insert an allen into the hole in the shaft that comes through the front of the tranny. Slowly start to tighten the nut on the slipper and check it with your thumb. You want it set to where you can just barely turn the spur gear with your thumb and the shaft being locked. As stated above, do not tighten it all the way down and adjust back from there.
