Hey guys was driving my revo 3.3 with ez start was running fine all of a sudden it shut off and will not restart has fuel and glow plug is good changed it just to make sure. when I try to use the easy starter nothing happen the batt in the starter is good changed it also just to make sure. the easy start dosen't even try to start it it dose nopthing??/ any help would be great.

Ok first off is there fule in the tank. I know this sounds dumb but I have swore I put fule in the tank before and it was bone dry when I looked lol, after i tried and finally pulled the motor. Are you using the blue wire or glo eginghtor. Did you try puting it to stock settings. Have you pulled the motor and peeked into it just to see whats up, this is extream but if your good you can pull a mill break it down inspect and have it together in under 20 minutes. Just a few questions. And one more, are you runing a 2.5 or 3.3, or os.18tm. If you are using a blue wire it could have gone bad, that happen to me before to.

O my bad, dedede lol. I'm a lil out of it today, but anyway. Did you turn you fly wheel at all how did it feel like it had alot of compression. Sometimes if your motor is at tdc it wont turn over with the eazy starter too. Um ya. O and how is your one way, I've seen them lock up before. But did you tear down the mill though.

mill is fine it is a prob with the ez start I think it dose nothing at all dosen't even try to turn motor over dose nothing it like your not even using it

Well I belive you could get just the motor if you trully belive thats the proble, or you could go pull stat and save yourself a headache. I ditched the eazy start after haveing a simalar issue and seeing how pull starter is half the price I went pull.

I personaly think bump start is lame. If your a basher you dont want to have to run out and get your truck to bring it back to your starter, PITA. Pull start all you need is glo starter and your hand of course. I think tower has them. Or hobby people thats where i get mine at but only because there right around the corrner from me.

Thats the one. One of the best things i have purchased for my trucks. I run them on my 2.5 and 3.3. That with the FOC saves a butt load of weight too.

Bryson

Yep,I would buy an ignitor and that pullstart.lots less weight and headaches.Dont forget the charger for the ignitor.

Pretty much. And take all that crappy looking wires off and ya thats pretty much it.

strangest thing just tried to start it and boom started right up what do you guys think I was trying to start it for 2 hours and now it starts?

Might have got hot. The brushes might be going out in the motor or something might have seized. I had my eazy starter seize one time on my 2.5 got so pissed I threw the truck 10 feet tried it one more time before calling it quits and the jolt of the landing after i threw it unseized the starter and it fired right up. (ture story i had like 4 people watching me at the park lol)

Might have a loose wire,on my brothers maxx one of the wires came unsoldered from the electric start motor. It was from him cranking and cranking on a poorly tuned 2.5 wires got to hot and one actually melted into at the solder terminal.I would still buy the pullstart and ignitor, his lazy ass insist on keeping the hardtostart system.and reverse.

Ground wire........I have this Love hate relationship with the EZ start....and it usually boils down to the ground wire or the connector where you put the wand in.....one or both are loose/bad connection.

My two cents from experience.

O ya I for got that, did you check your connections on the motor, they have a tendency to crack and the plastick the holds the angle on will make them appear connected but they arnt.

Bryson

Did you check the wires going from the ez start motor to the connector? They can break and be held in place by the little clear plastic boot. When you try to start some times they work sometimes not.
