alright, I'm fairly new to the rc world here and my buddy was telling me that it was possible to protect the REVO from water and mud, I've seen videos on youtube of guys playing in the mud and water with them, and well...how does one make it safe to do that? is there a kit that i can buy, or wat? thanks!

The plasti dip method works well but will not cover the optidrive etc. I used liquid silicone to completely seal up the optidrive/reciever box. Make sure to use some clear celephane to cover where the optidrive comes through on the top and to put a good amount on the wire entry of the box to keep it sealed. Hope this helps; just don't get too crazy, its not a submarine.

hey thanks! i have yet to get the REVO and i am just wanting to gather all this information before i get it. is the optidrive and the reveiver the same thing?...I'm sure this may sound like a dumb Q but like i said ealier....this will be my first one of these bad boys. and as far as the batteries...I'm guessing that the balloon trick would be just fine for them if i dont have the rechargable pack. cause I'm guessing that the rechargable battery pack is already waterproof....or am i wrong?

Well it's already wrapped all the way around with plastic. I'm sure you wouldn't have to do much to waterproof it.

o ok, what about the connector though? should i just wrap that w/ part of a balloon and then zip tie the ends?

The reciever, optidrive and the battery are contained in one box, as long as you seal the box up good then there should be no trouble with the components. The only part thats tricky is where the optidrive sticks through, i just sealed celephane to the box lid so that when you put it on it covers that hole but you can still see the optidrive component. Make sure to seal the entire box though as one leak can cause a lot of problems especially if u are in really moist conditions.
