i hope you guys dont find me annoying but i need help. i need to know what are the commun reasons why the engine wont start\turnover and how i coul dfix it.shoot away i await your answers , thanx alot

make sure your ex start battery is charged and that your ez start motor wires are connected make sure your glow plug is good and make sure you push the blue wire on the plug very well and make sure nothing is blocking your fly wheel from spinning also make sure your engine is not flooded just take out the plug and turn your truck upside down and press the ez start button then put the plug back in and see if that helps... also in the future get a glow igniter instead of using the blue wire.:wtf:

oh and if your mill is very cold the pre heat it it will help to start

This one is new right???......if so call traxxas.....they are great guys......and they can perhaps get something we are missing in translation...

scoobydo2u thanks for your info , I'm going to recheck all my stuff and givr her a go again , iwas also wondering if i had gas that was in the refill bottle for more than 3 weeks can that be a major reason... yes the revo is brand new and also only got about 10 tanks on it. thanks alot

When you say turn over, the motor isnt making any signs of life at all. If so check the connections to the ezstart motor. The stock one's on my tuck all broke and i had to soder new ones on. Just a thought.

ok so I'm going to check all of the above and see what happens , thanx everyone for answering , i will get back to you guys when i have tried to fix again ,

hey me again , i read a couple of other posts and i heaard about a one way bearing , ring a bell to anybody , me no , they say that could be a reason to not working either, any thoughts?

ok sp i checked the piston and when i turn the flywheel with th glow plug in i can bearly turn it , is that normal? ehrn thr glow plug is out it turns but when it gets to the top center it gets stuck abit then i have to force abit harder , is that normal?

anyway thanks to all of you that have patience in trying to find this problem.

your one way bearing (OWB) should be fine since its that new.
and as for your questions about the piston and sleeve yes thats normal just good compression try holding a blow dryer set to the highest setting on the crank case just below the cooling head for a wile and it will warm up and it should start great!

oh! and remember to turn your piston to bottom dead center (BDC) with the fly wheel so when it cools down its not pinched at the top of the piston.

really to help you we need more info if possible.
is the ez start motor turning over?
is your engine turning over but not firing?
is your engine turning over and firing but not staying running?
is your engine not turning over at all?
help us help you!:wtf:

ok when i put the ez start in the gas makes it to the carb, and thats it , no firing up , the ez start motor gets warm so it must be turning, the piston is moving , i replaced the gas and the plug, yesterday it fired for half a sec and never started again, I'm not sure what I'm missing here. i even tried starting inside near my patio door , nothing! the engine seems to be turning but not firing. I'm pretty sure

guess what she finally started after screwing around for 2 days with it, i love the smell of fresh nitro in the mornig, any ways going to tune it outside i had reset all the needles back to fac. setting and i think taht helped , my hsn was open almost 5 whole turns , I'm wondering if it wasn't that.
