Two Revos were in the LHS today getting the shoes replaced in the slippers. Does anyone else see this slipper as technical overkill? Each on had thrown a pad, and broken another. Why such a complex slipper instead of the same tried and true slipper setup that's in the Tmaxx and others?

not sure. But my friend trashed his today and My tranny ate #5385 & 5386.

I just finished reading your tranny thread. There's the possibility that if you go full off throttle, that the shock of hitting the ground, throttle off is putting too much shock to the trans. The slipper is there to absorb that, but you should try holding the same amount of throttle, and getting off it only to bring the nose down, or getting on it to bring nose up.

I normaly just let off the throttle, but you're saying just part to keep some load on it?

BTW: Happy New years!!!!

I'm bumping this up, since I never got the info I was looking for.
Anyone else have a problem with the slipper shoes? This guy makes his cars look like they are brand new. We were wondering if the cleaner or WD-40 was breaking down the shoes.
If you pressed your fingernail into them, they would break apart like chalk.
