I'm in the process of building (from parts) another Revo but this one will be 2wd and set-up for sand dunes only so I'm looking for ways to lighten it up.

On the single steering servo set-up .....

How well does it really perform?

Will a stock servo work?

What side do you eliminate?

Any other tips on what I'm trying to accomplish would be great ..... Thanks

My buddy Did the same thing and built his revo part by part, and he is running one single steering servo on the tank side. It is a stock traxxas 2055 servo and it works and controls fine. It seems to have plenty of steering power for the light REVO set-up. I would put a single servo on the tank side to counterbalance the engine. As far as cheap lightening tips, go with the FOC. Other then that TITANIUM.

I'm in Cottonwood (100mi. north of Phx)
I bought me Revo down at Frank's Hobby House.

I was checkin out your site the other day, Pretty sweet

I hear there's a bitchin track in Scottsdale

I run a JR Z650M, it puts out more torque than both the Traxxas stockers combined and it's fairly quick. I elimanted the left side (truck viewed from the rear) or driver's side. I also picked up the Pro-line alloy steering link for single servos. It keeps you from having to cut the stock steering link or from having one side just dangling out there. IMO, running the stock on it's own is just not enough, I'm pretty sure it's only like 80 in/ozs if that (probably less). You can also cut the stops off the bracket under the steering links to give you a little more travel.

I have a single servo on my revo (airtronics 359 - 200oz torque and .10 transit time), I have it on the engine side because the cover lines up with my bump starter. A lot of guys leave the dual servo arm on but I replaced mine with a proline single servo arm and it works great.
