I just ordered a 5309 roller, question is is can i use the older tq transmitter and receiver with the optidrive? Or does it have to be the 2.4?I'm eventually gonna talk him into forward only eventually but will the old setup work for now with the reverse still in it?
 
I would think u need the 2.4g system with the optidrive. Just get the FOC. It's cheap and so worth it. U don't need reverse unless ur running it In ur room
 
Not sure if they have different versions of the optidrive but my Maxx has the 27mhz w/ opti.
