I've been wondering a few questions.
1. What are the advantages of long travel rockers
2. What are the average life of the servo's and are there better servo's in same price range
3. About how many gallons of fuel does it take to wear out the engine.
4.Are aluminum clutch shoes better than stock
5. How much speed difference is there with a 40 tooth or 42 tooth spur gear
6.How much would it cost to put reverse in the 5308 model
7.What parts are most likely to break if the car is used more for jumping, climbing hills, and the occasional head on hit with an unseen rock.
8.What tires give best traction for climbing
9.How hard should the springs be dampened with the long travel
10.What is need to put telemetry and radio gear for a spektrum controller
11. will aluminum skid plates protect the bulk heads better

1. IDk
2. Life span varies, Nothing better for the same price.
3. Depends on how engine was broke in, After run maintenance, and how the engine was tuned when running.
4. Definitely
5. OK bigger spur or smaller clutch bell = faster acceleration less top speed, Bigger clutch bell or smaller spur= slower acceleration but faster top speed.
6. Why would you.
7. A-Arms
8. its a preference I like Pro-line Badlands
9.IDK jack About Long Travel
10. Still don't know jack
11. Well I have broken stock skid plates and not damaged the bulkhead, I wonder if I had aluminum with the same impact if I would have bent the chassis because the aluminum wont give like the plastic did.

WOW.......sounds like you want everyone to do your homework for ya!j/p ;-).
There nothing better than to get out there.... BREAK $hit and find out solutions to how to repair your rig or doin some research bro. I spend more time replacin parts, doin tweaks and figurin out solutions for problems than I spend driv'n. But since you asked I will contribute to some ?'s.

1. Unless you plan on setting your rig up for rock crawlin, you wont need these.
2. What he said
3. How well you keep your engine clean as well!!!!!
4. What he said

6. Go online/ call traxxas 1-888-traxxas. I'm thinking about doin this myself cuz I hate walkin 100yrds just to turn my rig around.
7. What he said and pushrods.

11. Sounds good

I have been researching- But when it comes to experience from a driver it is usually better than any faq's can give me. I too have spent a lot of time fixing it. Mostly it is with the clutches and spur gear. By the time i get everything tuned again after i tear it all out i burn something else up. I've tried running it rich, lean low slippage to lots of slipping. But i still burn up. I've called traxxas but they helped as much as a my dog helped me. Anywhere else it is faq's or forums that don't help. I just decided to ask all my questions at once. If you know a few help me out, if not you don't have to.

as far as slipper clutch goes mine is tight real tight. if your shredding gears then your are not setting your mesh right. To loose on your mesh and your gonna trash the teeth, to Tight your gonna trash the teeth. So the question is are you trashing the teeth or just melting it down.

Do u know how to set ur pinion to spur gear mesh properly? It will explain it in ur manuel if u have one. if not, then I can help u.

Only thing touching the spur gear is the slipper clutch and clutch bell-

right, but they need a gap of about .01mm which is the thickness of standard letter or notebook paper. If ur gears are binding when free rollin ur revo then they are too tight. Too loose and u will burn up ur spur gear.
