hello ppl. well i have $450 to spend on a new rc. i was going to perchase a revo but i saw some buggies at my lhs racing on their track and they look really fun. what should i get? if u say buggy can u reccomend a good buggy to get.

i plan to race a little but bash most of the time

If I were in your shoes I would try to weight how much I would bash it vs. how much I would race it. Buggies are obviously better suited for the track but they can't go all the same places a Revo can off the track. If I was seriously planning on a lot of racing I would go the buggy route, but if I only thought maybe I'd do a little racing I'd go with the Revo. Also, look at where you would do your "backyard bashing". Is it buggy friendly grounds? or more of an MT scenery. Also, reputation says that the Revo is a strong racer at the track as well. If I didn't already have a T-Maxx and I wanted to race a little and bash with the same vehicle I'd get a Revo.....hands down.

well I'm goin to be doing more bashing than racing. i was so hooked on getting a revo but i saw these buggies and the are awesome and i heard they are tough and fast. I'm would be doing alot of jumping and dirt running.

Still I agree with him if u plan to bash and jump go with the REVO u wont be sorry

can't go wrong with the Revo.......but I am a 1/8th buggy guy now......I say try and find someone who has one or the other and ask for a test run.

If you are set on a buggy, get the XTM X-Termiantor Deluexe, a great buggy. Buggies are faster and will handle better than a Revo, but won't be able to go over extremely rough terrain. If all you have to drive on is fields and lighter off road bumps and jumps go for a buggy, If you have extreme off road terrain go for a Revo. If the terrain is very harsh you could even take a look at the HPI Savage, it isn't as agile as a Revo but it can handle oven harsher terrain.

I've had buggies and MTs. I've sold off all my buggies. They're great for groomed surfaces or tracks, but dirt lots and construction zones are just too much for them. They ride too low and dirt clods do a number on them.

Since I rarely went to the track and the street was just a waste of tires, I sold them. I only have MTs now. Much more versatile.....

if only have 450, i wouldnt look at buggies. also considerin the aforementioned points above in reference to what u wanna do.

REVO......great all around truggy....I consider it a truggy not an MT.....besides if you get a buggy you have either pull start or bump start....I can't stand when I'm bashing and have to haul my stuff over to the pit and start again....the E-Z starter rocks for bashing....I have one on a really sick T-maxx w/ a P2....and I wouldn't ever want to pull start that monster...

I second the Revo! It is great for bashing and racing alike. Some people say its not for bashing... what are they smoking! You can use the Revo for anything.. it is one tough truck!

ok thnx alot guys. i think ill be getting the revo. LOL

Hobby People (hobbypeople.com) has the Revo on sale until 3/31/05 for 419.00.

Good deal on the Revo. If your going to race at ALL, do a Revo over the Savage. And you can roto and ele. start some buggys. Ofna and HB comes to mind. You can also get a back plate for a few mills to use a roto-start.

i would get a savage but i am kind of a speed freak so i need something with more speed. i would the 4.6 savage if it came with the servos and radios because i dont want to buy the savage and then spend another $200 on the radio and servos.

can u give me a link to hobbypeople i dont know if i went to the right place because it was in a different language.

OH, really sorry. It is hobbypeople.net. Sorry. I double checked it was correct by going to "my favorites" on my computer.
