My son wants to do both the off and on road racing. This Saturday is the 1st on road race. Without factoring in the money end of it...what changes can/should be made to the truck so it can compete on road. Or..CAN it even race on road or is it strictly an off road truck. Do they race trucks on road or is it just cars?
I see they make on road tires for the Revo like the Proline Road Rage 40 Series. IF the truck could be raced, would I need to adjust shocks, suspension, replace other things???
Thanks

This Is My Cup Of Tea!!

when i had my revo, it was strictly on-road, and it handle suprisingly well. better then my jato and savage.. this is what i did. drop the suspension using some kind of spacer like o-rings or fuel tubing. put it on the inside of the shock, under the shock piston so it restricts the up travel. you want the suspension arms to be perfectly level when sitting on the ground.that will also help with excesive body roll. i ran 55wt oil and heaver springs. sorry, can't remember what color. on the front, upper suspension arms there are caster adjusters. i pulled them out and pushed the front arms all the way forward for better stearing. i also ran tape on the inside of the tires to stop them from from "rolling" on the turns. it also makes it more stable on the ashpalt couse they wont balloon out on the staight-aways. i also used parma on-road tire traction to elimanate the front end "push" around turns.. but it had a tendincy to roll on hard turns, so you may have to throw the front camber in a little.. thats a good starting point. you may have to do alittle tweeking, but its alot of fun.. plus, no dirt..I HATE DIRT!!

when i run my revo on-road i switch up to my IMEX road dawg tires and they work great. i also like to lower the suspension and like itsalifeworthliving said i move my A arms all the way to the front for better turning ability. if you need some on road tires i got an extra set of IMEX road dawgs
