Hey guys, I put in a new engine in the revo and am having some issues now. The motor is revving but no movement. I put in a new RR spur and clutch bell, new clutch shoes and spring and new slipper clutch rebuild kit. It ran good before the motor was pulled and the trans was recently gone thru as well. What else could I be missing here?

try nipping up the slipper and retry
if that don't work start looking at your driveshafts to see if they move maybe a broken pin
after that I would pull the trans and have a quick look

Alright guys, I think I solved the problem. Their was a combination of things going wrong which would explain why I was having such a hard time with the motor too. I was having a heck of a time starting the motor but it would eventually start and rev but it would take a lot of work. I am embarrassed to admit it but I completely had the ez start running backwards. Not only did I have the pos and neg wires backwards but I had the one way bearing running in conjunction with them, hence, the motor spinning the wrong direction. Almost 100% sure this was my problem, its a little to early to be firing it up and will have to wait till I get off work. My settings for the motor are waaaaaaaay off to get it to run and finally consulted the owners manual to find the base settings for the mach 2 .19 which are 2 out on the LSN, 3 1/2 out on the HSN and slightly in from flush on the idle. It was really hard to find these settings for this engine because the manuel does not state settings for the .19 but they do state settings for the types of carburetors on their engines. I am embarrassed on my mistake but figured if I post it, it will help someone down the road who made a similar mistake.:D

Alright, got a chance to fire it up and the real world settings are a little different from the manufacturer settings. I still have some tuning to do but it is running at 4 out on the LSN and 5 out on the HSN. The idle setting is correct as stated and it is running at about 240. Still got some work to do but am glad I solved the issue!

I am having problems with mine not moving as well I just rebuilt my Trans for the simple fact that I split my primary shaft in half. But getting to the point. I rebuilt the Trans and now the truck will rev but won't move foreword I have already tightened up the slipper. And still nothing. Do you think I might have not put it back together right.

Good chance if you hqvent done it before
The first time I rebuilt a tranny on my maxx way back when I got a little too eager to go bashing and forgot to put the pin back on the primary shaft so I only had 1st gear
If you are a little unsure I would pull it back out and download the exploded veiw of your tranny from the traxxas site and start again , its probably something very simple that you may have overlooked

I am going to rebuild my trans this weekend with the RRP FOC and the rest of the gear set, gonna take my time and not rush things like I did before earlier in this post, as this will be my 1st time pulling the trans apart.

Trans built correctly

If allowed the exploded view of the Trans both times I build it. The only thing I could think is that there should be some kind of grease in it i. Order for it to shift properly. But when I pulled the Trans apart there was not any grease.

Could be a combination of things, did you do the FOC? if not, you may have missed something with the gears on the front half of the trans. I would recommend it if you have not done it as the drive gears are pretty straight forward assembly wise.
