Well as soon as i fix one problem another arises..
I have no clue what may have caused or is causing this issue.
When i pull the throttle to full the engine does not increase in rpms, however, every three or four pulls of the trigger will engage the engine again and increase the speed.
The throttle servo is working fine.. I've replaced the batteries, changed the fuel, checked the slipper clutch, replaced the glow plug... I'm baffled guys.
Also the motor does idle with no problems.... its odd, i though it might be something with my gears but, the engine doesn't even rev at times when the trigger is all the way back, it doesn't stall or bog..it just wont do anything.

in most cases this is all because of the owner...
is this an new Revo or used?
if new,was it run recently?
did you brake in the engine?
did you tune it properly?
did you do anything with the linkage of the throttle?
is your carb installed properly?
did you check the engine for leaks?
are you using an 6 volt battery?
are you sure that everything is nice and tight?
are you sure that servo has enough power to move the carb throttle?
(if servo isn't strong enough it wont move the throttle as quickly as it should)

if all of those are fine then I don't see any other problem.
 
the revo is new, I've ran it recently, everythig is tight (i always check after each run) no i didnt mess with the linkage. I'm not sure how to check for air leaks. i broke in the engine, yes its tuned correctly.... This is not a tuning issue, this issue may have something to do with an air leak...I'm not positive. i dont use a 9v and the servo works fine. the only think i can think of is an air leak or I've somehow damaged the sleeve..
 
Sounds like you stripped the throttle servo arm or the servo is bad.
 
You need to see if the throttle linkage is moving and opening the carb when you pull the trigger and nothing happens.It sounds like a throttle servo going bad or a problem with the receiver/transmitter/wiring.Does not sound engine related.

well everything moves fine, there is strength still in the servo.. i had also considered a wiring issue or problems with the receiver/transmitter but i have no real way of checking that. it runs fine, the throttle opens the servo moves but... no increaase in rpms, it just idles when the issues arises.
 
To update, i called traxxas support.. from the symptoms i provided they said it may be the throttle servo. Their great customer support decided to send me another servo mo#2055 free of charge. ill get back with you guys asap and let you know if that fixes the prob. thanks again for your help guys!
 
possibly servo did not have enough power and that's why engine wasn't going as you would like it too,I would also check for some air leaks,it's very easy...

well, i pulled the servo off and opened it up.. sure enough the lead wires were damaged and torn inside the case... there's a lot of vibration going to that servo when I'm near full throttle... well i soldered the wires and bingo, problem solved. Thanks again for your help, I'm not sure how far i would be with my previous problem if it wasn't for the vets. here.

Yes....that is the same video I found on youtube to solve my air leaks. After watchin that vid I checked my bearings for leaks and sure nuf it leaked. If your bearings leak and you are within your 90 day warranty, call traxxas and they will send you a pair. To replace your bearings you need to tear apart your engine all the way down to just your block,(be sure to take out all seals prior) turn you household oven to 300-350 degree, pop your block in the oven for about 3-5 mins, take you block out with mits and tap the front and rear of your block on a piece of wood. The rear bearing came out easier for me, I had to use a socket with an extention just big enuf to fit into my crank case and push them out that way right after I took it out of the oven. Just be careful not to damage/ scratch the inside of your block.
 
Sure enough, the front & rear bearing leaks. Gonna take a ride over to Traxxas tomorrow.
 
Well, I took it over to Traxxas today and they kept it & told me to give them a call in 3 days... very cool staff!

Well I called Traxxas today and they agreed I had a bearing leak which thrashed the engine. Didn't get a new engine however I did receive a complete rebuild for free! Traxxas has an awsome Custmer Support Team! I am going to ride over there this evening and pick it up.:first_place:
