I opend my REVO christmas day and tried to start it. and guess what.... didnt start but after looking through it for about 1 hour I said to myself ( what the h*ll } and decided to adjust the glow plug and that was the problem than gosh. But now it seems to do really well and strong. I went offroading today and had my quads on a straigt dirt road on the other side of the truck. I was going full throtle and WHAMM into the tire of the quad smart eh didnt hurt a thing other the scratches on stock bumper. This Rc stock is ready to enjoy if you get the right box i guess. I LOVE IT.

* PROBLEM *
What or why would it go through glow plugs often like every 1-2 hours?
Guess somthing had to be wrong nothings PERFECT

* IDEAS *
I'm going to the LHS & Track tommorow after noon. I am wondering if there is anything that i can do to enhance my preformace. Like tires what kind should i get? or a page that might tell me how to enhance my rc

:rolleyes: * THREAD UPDATE * :bored:
Oh yeah opps I'm so tired from the off roading day i knew i didnt add all the information.

I BROKE IT IN CORRECT. And to ajust the first stock glowplug all i did was get the wrench that came with it and losened it 1/16 of a turn. Runs great but the glow plugs keep going out. I been throught about 5 new ones

any more info needed ask please

No where in your post did you say that you broke in the engine....

Reread it.. DID YOU DOUBLE POST THIS?I read this about an hour ago...and I commented on it

Yes i did double ona accident I'm sorry. I did break in the engine the proper way as told. Runs fine just the glow plugs arnt lasting

If you havent tightend down the glow plug after break-in and it is loose it may cause it to go through plugs..

My thought is possibly you are running way too rich or way too lean.. have you tuned the engine at all, and if so.. how many turns in or out? is it blowing plenty of blue/white smoke on acceleration?

On some of the big block engines, you have to loosen the glow plug to get it started when it's new. As soon as it starts, you tighten it back down. You haven't said that you do that. Are you running it with the glow plug loose?

Traxxas glow plugs burn up I'm my experience, maybe I am doing something wrong. They do not offer the performance I see from the McCoy MC59 and the new OS LC3 Long plug that I am currently using and loving.

From my experience OS makes the best plugs. they last a lot longer than the traxxas ones.

i'd also say your running way to lean or rich. what are your temps from the engine, if you don't have a temp guage, i'd get one. no way you should be going through anyways near that amount of glow plugs. something in the tuning will help you, but we need to know more like temps, is fuel coming out exhaust? is it sluggish or extremely powerful?

I have to agree. Something is wrong in your tuning. I have run about a half gallon since new and finally on my last run the thing would start to stall when idling. I cjhecked the plug and it was weak. I installed a McCoy and it is idling even better than it ever did before. I probably could have got another run out of it before changing, so something is not right if you have used 5 plugs this soon.

Another person for tuning it. I had the same problem when I was new, I was running it way too rich and I was fouling the plugs.
