Before you say " Holy crap, didn't you check stuff before you kept bashing, keep in mind I am NEW to this whole RC world.

I was having problems driving around the yard, It kept doing twist wheelies. But I noticed it was turning better. Then it started reving more than it was going... Now it is front wheel drive only... I thought I wrecked the rear diff, but I melted the rear hubs. Those suckers get HOT (burned the fingers).

One of the rear hubs is melted into the wheel. The other rear wheel look ok(kinda) but the hub is round. One front hub is also a but twisted around in the wheel.

What would my best solution be... remember, I am not a hard core racer. Just a new dad with a hobby on the side.

Thanks guys.

Maybe someone will shed some light on the 17 and/or 23mm hubs.

I would need neeed new rims correct ??

I see 14mm to 17mm alluminum coversion hubs on ebay. Does this just mean scrap the old hubs and replace with the 17's ?

Are there good quality 14's that work with Stock wheels? or am I just wasting my time ?

Yes, you'd need new rims. You can always keep the hubs you have, in case you ever want to switch back.

i was doing the same thing on my revo. i killed 3 wheels in under a tank each. I went to 17mm hexes and wheels and i havent messed one up yet. I took one off recently and the hex still looks brand new. i used the ofna adaptors but you may want to look at the 23mm ones. there seems to be more wheels available for them.

Thats what I'm running. I havent had a problem since. I stripped 6 wheels before i did the conversion.

Guy, thanks for all the input and great suggestions.

Any thoughts on what tire and rim combo would be best.

I'm not racing, just playing around the yard and in a few parking lots and gravel pits.

edit.,,, I just saw another post about tire and wheel combos.. I'll keep an eye on that post. Thanks
