Ummmm, I don't think my setups are in question here. Nor do I think anyone will tell the difference between shock shafts in a picture. I've posted plenty pix of my Revo here and shared many setup preferences.

I'm just going to come right out and say it right here, right now... NOBODY believes you! Since you say you have all this stuff that your brother, whom you haven't spoken to in years, all of sudden drops top cash on a bunch of trucks for you and he but you don't have a digi cam to take some pix to show your Revo's with all these hop-ups you have. You obviously don't get it, people here no a bullshitter when one pops up his ugly little head and everyone here is having a hard time buying your little fable, that is why we want to see pix.

why dident you ask posted some pics today of my revos.. after i took them apart and added some new stuff and swaped some moters...

maybe you would look befor flying off the handle and talking poop to me..

allso i was simply say to the guy piggyback shocks are a option.. and what i use in mine...

if you dont like it and all you have time for it to post on here raging on people
get a life..

or even beter show your cars some run time.. instead of talking crap on this fourm

and thank you revo rancher .. this is true.. and are great for bashing..and this fourm has bunch of haters out there.. wow a pair of 59 $ shocks make people crazy

Never saw the pics and it's not my job to go and search for your poop everyday. I have life and don't need to make up some bs story about poop I read on the internet. I believe if you search my 1800+ posts you'll find the only raging I have done is on pukes you you, if you find any at all.

Pit, we all know all of us come to this site and this hobby to have fun and exchange our stories and information, but it is how you convey your message that will determine how the others will take it.

You originally posted a response to this post:

This is worthless with out pictures

Oh and a link to buy the stuff also

and here is your response:

worthless lol dude eveyone that owens a revo allready knows what they look like.

and here is mine:

"eveyone" (sic) does not know this, so help out and post a link for the product. Don't be lazy!

BTW, they add a lot of weight, so for serious racing they are automatically a no-no. They have not had the complaints of easily bending the shock shafts like the MSR4' s used on the Maxx series, so they might be good for bashing.

and your next two:

allso he is looking for cheep parts not he hever siad raceing parts just all around parts that are close to stock or little better .. so no need to get all bent out of shape

really how nice simply say that piggy backs are good shocks and i get reamed on...

When you paint with broad strokes by using absolutes like the words, "everyone", "always" etc., you can quickly lose credibility. Apparently not "eveyone" has seen these shocks. Some of us are very new to the hobby and have not had the computer time to explore every maker of every part for our respective rigs. Plus, this hobby is an ongoing learning process, even for the pros. That is why we like to come to RCNT, to learn and share. And that is why we always ask for pics or links. If you have something to say and it can also benefit us less experienced or knowledgable people, please share it, and if it can linked to an article, a pic, or another forum thread, please jump in and help out. Like I said, don't be lazy.

As to the comment about the piggyback shocks, I merely pointed out that they add weight and may affect the car's performance. Whether racing or bashing, weight is a factor. You are right, he wanted same as stock but cheaper if was an upgrade. But that does not negate the fact that performance could suffer after paying out some bucks on an after market part that may or may not be what he really needs. BTW, the Intgey PB shocks are NOT that cheap. He could get the Ti shafts and better ends and have a lighter, stronger, and CHEAPER shock than the Integy system. That is all I run in my race Revo, and I have yet to have a shock fail, leak or break.

So, take a step back, relax, and enjoy the pics, because we all LOOOVVVVE pics and links! :wasted:

Hi, my name's Monkey Wrench and I...uh.....I use piggback shocks made by Integy.

Man, do I feel better! I'll even post some pictures of my Revo with them on when I get home, Ray. I may be a show queen, but DAMN do I look good!

And Jet, if you bash on me about my piggyback's I'll, I'll grumble really, really loud! GRRRRRRRR!

MW, I never bashed on them, just noted the T-Maxx series had some bad shafts. How are yours working out on the Revo?

Hey monkey, no foul I only mentioned the setup with the Ti cause they are a cheaper alternative and less weight. Pit missed the point but we're not going to dwell on that,or at least I'm not. Grasshopper will learn one day or he won't find many friends around here with an attitude like he has displayed so far.

I won't hold those piggyback's against ya!

:jk:

Hey, MW, how about a review on those Integy pieces so Gustavo can make up his mind if he wants/needs them!

Geez Rancher, gimme more than 12 minutes, man...:jk:

Oh, and for the record, my previous post is all in jest and I take absolutely no offense for anyone sharing their opinion of these shocks or any other part for that matter. Ultimately, it's the individual's choice to make and if someone believes these to be for show only, no skin off my teeth!

Anyhow, here's a few pictures of the piggback's in my Revo:

I don't have a lot of run time on these yet, as I added them during my yearly maintenance teardown. I've bashed with them a bit (about a total of five times) and I have noticed that it doesn't tend to bounce as much after landing a jump and the body roll seems less as well. I have not raced with them yet (actually, never raced before, but I'm gonna give it a shot this Spring/Summer) so I cannot speak to that aspect directly. So far, I'm very happy with them, but again, time will tell in the long run.

I got mine from the LHS, but you can get them from Tower as well: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKUH3&P=7

I'd go with the shock upgrades that the others have suggested rather than dropping $60.00 a pair for these. If I'd of known about the upgrades prior to buying these, I'd of probably gone that route first.

Oh, and one last thought. You mention (GS, that is) about adding a hump pack or replacing the stock with one. Rancher pointed out that it already comes with a rechargeable flat pack, but if you're still considering it, I don't think a hump pack will fit in the stock battery compartment. Something to keep in mind.

Good Luck!

so back to this guy/girls post.. sorry man for this big mess..

No problem, pit. Peace and God, peace and God.

What do you think of MW's set up? Maybe this is the thing for gustavo because he wants a bit of bling and performance, too. They sure look outrageous!

they look good. good clean install.
i was doing a lot of looking last night and orderd the upgrade to the shocks.. so there super piggys lol..

but ya gus its cheap to go with rebuild upgrade. work great..

allso piggys are not a nooby install.. on a revo that is..

Oh, and please take note of the hose clamps, my homage to Olds97!

allso piggys are not a nooby install.. on a revo that is..
That's somewhat true, but it's not as if you have to some expert wrencher to install them either. It's important to follow the instructions that come with them, especially about allowing he little foam inserts to soak in the shock oil for about 30 minutes before putting them in. The new mounts can be a little tricky, but again, patience is the key.

Super piggys, I like that.

Pit, is that what you are building in your pic? I always have a hard time figuring out what I am looking at unless it is installed.

the stock shocks with ti shafts and ti shaft ends with some blue alm caps.. aka upgrades. with little bit of bling..

ill mostliky be adding the ti shafs and ti ends. to the piggy backs to see how they work but.. no clue might just leave them alone.

the pigs with upgrades may be little to overkill..

WOW I didn't mean to start something over something as simple as a picture of piggy backs. I just really wanted to see what a Revo looked with the Piggy back set up and how they bolted up with their unique shock/suspension set up.

MW, That truck is awsome looking!! I'm not sure the Piggys are for me but they look great and so does the rest of the mods on there. The only thing I would change or add to your truck is one of those blue roll bars...that would look sweet with you mods instead of that black stock bar. So far I'm thinking of installing a set of silver aluminum spring retainers and shock caps on mine. That should beef them up a hair along with the shock ends I already have. Then look into some springs and push rods.

I have to ask you this though, is that some sort of extended tail pipe you got on the pipe or is just the way the picture looks? The reason I ask, is because I was thinking of doing this on my Revo.

I'm going to use sum more of my technical lingo and say MW has one of dem der rubber thingy's on his pipe!

Hmmmm....this could get ugly by the sounds of that?!!?!?!?!?!?
