Hi i have a revo 2.5r an i can not get it to run right to save my soul. i have put a new fuel tank and glow plugs an it is very hard to start also.any help would be helpful. Thanks!

put the needle settings back to stock and try to start it that way...also can try some after run oil in it to make sure all the parts are spinning free....also seal up the engine, carb and backplate at least to make sure there are no air leaks...

Ok Can you explain in a liltle detail how to set it back to stock. is there a video out there? an how do i seal up everything? Thank you so much!

on Traxxas website they give the manuals for the trucks/engines...you need to spin the high speed needle all the way in..and then back it off to factory settings..for my 3.3 that was 4 turns out - the low speed needle on the slide arm for the carb should have the screw set flush with the little spacer around the screw...again - for my 3.3 - not sure if the 2.5 is the same...in this forum is the Nitro tuning guide and the sealing of the engine is gone over there..check it out - Permataex untra copper silicone is recommended....take the carb out and put some around the top of the throat - and you pull the backplate off the engine and put a layer around the seal and put it back together. But the needle settings back to stock is the quickest way to get it back to running or figure out if you have another problem..a temp gun to check the temp at the head is always a good tool to have as well....

Thanks for your help. it must be something else or i am setting it back wrong. I will try sealing it up. Thank you

well if you have an rc buddy let him feel the engine. Or spin the engine from the shaft and if it feels really loose its tired if its real tight its new if it is in the middle then its ok but call traxxas and tell them your problem if they can help great if not seal the darn thing with silicone...

I bought a new 3.3 lol. thanks for the help guys. i couldnt resist the trade up program. an my lhs said it was very tired.

I found a better deal on ebay for a new 3.3 when i needed one..saved myself like $20 - not a lot but something...

Ya but I'm all about supporting my local buisneses an in this economy my lhs needs all he can get. an being a buisness owner myself I know how it feels. but ebay can be a good route if you need to support your wallet.lol I know how that feels too.
