May be asking a dumb question but here goes. I haven't been running the Revo long. Took it apart and converted to 3.3 Revo. Setting on the ground I thought it free rolled on it's own with no resistance. I'm I wrong and the thing doesn't roll on it's own?

It should free roll forward with very little resistance. Free Rolling backwards the spur should spin.

Did you have the diffs out???

Yes I had the diffs out to clean them.

If you pick up the rear it rolls on the front wheels, pick up the front and the spur gear is making a racket and will not roll on rear wheels. Transmission?

1st you need to confirm that the diffs are installed correctly and 1 of them in not upside down. The diff housings are marked with an "up".

With the rear drive shaft disconnected, roll it forward to see if the front drive shaft and the rear diff pinion/drive shaft are rotating the same direction. If not, 1 of the diffs is upside down.

hey snook are the diffs the same way on a max. when your looking at the rear diff from rear screws on right side and front diff from front screws on right or is it different for a revo

Rear diff must be upside down. With rear driveshaft unhooked they roll in the same direction Snook

The front center shaft and the rear pinion on the diff should should rotate in the same direction. If the rear center is still connected to the tranny you have to disregard it as the tranny output shaft is solid. Look at the front center shaft and the rear diff input pinion.

Different type of diff housing on the revo and the tmaxx and the diff is hard to see when installed between the bulkheads on the revo. The ring gear must be on the drivers side for the rear diff, and on the passenger side for the front diff. That’s 1 reason the diff is marked with an UP.

Thanks for thr help. Sure enough the diff was flipped upside down

In my Tmaxx days my front end did a tug of war with my back end.
I did that same thing with my Jammin Truggy....problem is was at the track with a lot of people watching. Everyone got a kick out of it. Ha ha...shut up.... (Grumbles and carries truggy back to the pits)
