Hey Guys,

Been investigating different ways to push my REVO to the 'TOP SPEED' max. I posted another forum thread a few weeks ago and received solid feedback on switching out the clutch bell and Spur gear..going with a 17/36. So with that said, I'm looking at engine replacements. Bottom line, I would love to push tihs truck in the 55+ range, if that's possible. More would be great, but who the hell knows if that's even possible. So at this point, I don't want to go big block as I really think the stock REVO will get completely housed with such a motor. With this, I was looking at the RB TM523. I'm really interested in what you guys think and perhaps there isn't much latitude given the space and engine mount system in place.

Oh, I have completed a complete ceramic bearing upgrade and installed a forward only kit.

What do you suggest?

The Picco .26 Max It Fits Right In With The Ofna Mount It Has A Lot More Power Than The 3.3 Its A Direct Fit For The Revo

Either the Picco .26 Maxx or the RB TM523 would be a good replacement. You'll also need a really good pipe. THS makes some good ones.

Follow-up

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the replies. Seems like the Picco .26 is the way to go. I just don't have a lot of info on the RB TM523 and the Picco seems a little less expensive. I was checking out the ERCM pipes, but probably a bit more than I want to spend along with the engine. The OFNA 086 seems a bit more reasonable.

I'm really focused on Top End. I kinduv passed bashing. So with a 17/36 gear ratio and Picco .26 and OFNA 086 pipe, any ideas on what my TOP END might be. I would love to get this truck up to 55+ :D, but I really don't know if it's possible.

Proper Gearing

As in 17TClutchBell and 36TSpur...I shouldn't have to screw with the timing on the 2 speed, correct?

Any other upgrades you guys can suggest that might give a boost? I'm ready to put a jet pack on this ride...

Thanks again.

You could also go with an OS .21 TM, I just ordered me one and plan on getting an ECRM pipe to go with it.
