hi everyone i just got done drivin and noticed hat i broke the front bumper ooops lol oh well do they brake often and i was wondering what is the most common parts that brake that i should stock up on? thanks

I dont think they break too often. Id stock up on spur gears.. They will strip sometimes.. other than that I have found everything to be pretty sturdy.

However, I broke a stock pushrod the other day, very sad haha but its an excuse for me to get sexy red ones.

A spare set of pushrods and turnbuckles aren't a bad idea, and usually as long as your spur is set correctly you shouldnt have a problem , but dont take a chance , keep a spare with you ,you could also get some rod ends for, they are cheap and easy to replace so you can get back up and running . remember to get some rodends for the shocks also , i had a few mishaps there.Eventually you will end up having a spare for every part of the truck but till then get what you really need. That pretty much sums it up for me , remember , have fun and bash hard !!!!=devil

I agree with Nicholas... you will not regret having rod ends... I have pulled a few ends off of the shocks. I have only stripped the spur once, but extra spur gears are also a good idea. get a few different ones so you can have the option to change the gearing while you are in the field. Spur gears are not hard to change, just make sure to get the mesh right. I like to keep extra glow plugs, just because they seem to only go out when the hobby shop is closed.

One thing to remember... If you are not breaking something, you are not driving it hard enough.

if you're bumper broke, take the chance to upgrade to the swaybar setup that just came out. :)

I have the sway bar kit on mine and I love it. I dont understand how this would keep the bumper from breaking, but it will greatly improve the stability of the revo. If you hit something hard enough, things will break. Consider yourself lucky that it was only the bumper.

I'd get the RPM replacement bumper. The other thing that tends to break during a hard bashing session are the A-Arms. Again I would recommend using the RPM replacements.

From my understanding, the swaybar kit does not allow the bumpers to be installed?

Or perhaps I'm confusing this with something else?

*sorry for the threadjack*

spur gears
RPM bumpers
Shock ends
Ends for toe links
Toe links(upgrade to the Traxxas red hollow aluminum as you break the stockers)these are very durable
RPM steering knuckles(have on hand to replace as you break)
Exaust Header(at least 2)
silicone exaust couplers and stingers

I do not know about the Traxxas sway bar kiy, but I have the tekno on mine. The front bumper works just fine.It is not installed now, due to an unfortunate event including a brick mailbox post, but you can see here how the swaybar kit is installed.

i agree.rpm is the way to go.I've broke a few stock front bumpers with little effort.and the stock arms arent that strong either.
