so after a long winter storage my revo wont start. The glow pug gets hot and i even used an igniter but it doesn't seem to be getting fuel. i pulled off the line and it pumps out of the tank but doesn't seem to be flowing through the carb. i put a couple drops of fuel in the carb and it tried to fire. I then pulled the high speed needle and fitting for the fuel line and tried to clean it out. still nothing. How do i get the carb off to try and unclog it better? Is there a certain place that gets gunked up easy? Thanks!

To get your carb off there are two bolts in the front of the carb, Where your air filter is. Take them out and do whatever you want to do to. Make sure you seal your carb with some high heat silicone before put it back on.

Yea, I would start with the carb..Loosen your bolt and it comes apart pretty easy.. Make sure you line up your feul inlet fitting and the whole in the HS needle when you put it back together. Seal it up good . Maybe recheck your idle..

I tried to remove the nut just under the carb but the bolt would not come out. The carb will turn but not pull out and the bold will not move. Anyone have pictures of the bolts i am to remove?

Sounds like you have the right nut. There is just one right where the carb slides into the block.. The bolt will not come out until you pull the carb out. Just loosen it up a good bit and wiggle the carb and bolt until the carb slides out..You can't hurt anything pulling the carb out..

i just took the carb off my 2.5r last night. its really easy. u could always spray some wd 40 in it or take a pic and let me see what it looks like.

what kind of pipe do u have? U might not be getting enough back pressure. i had a problem like this once. good luck

If the one way bearing on the ez start is seized up the engine wont fire even if it wants to, check that to make sure first. reverse the polarity on your ez start wires and fire it, if it spins freely your good, if it turns the motor even the slightest in reverse its the owb is bad and needs replaced.

Got it to fire. Thanks for the help. Now i have a new issue but i think it may be the glow plug not staying lit. Ill change it out and let you all know what happens.

What did you do to fix it? I ask because someone might search this same problem, read this thread but not get a solution. Just trying to look out. Glad to hear you fixed it though.

We pulled the carb off and blew through the fuel inlet a couple of times until air would flow all the way through. Then removed the needle and used a very thin piece of wire to make sure the passage was completely clear.

Update....the revo is running GREAT! Had to do a little high speed tuning once i got it back together but its good to go now. Thanks for the advice all.
