RC Driving Style
Hello everyone, I recently purchased a revo 3.3.. I am still breaking the motor in,... east coast weather has been a bit cold to get proper temperatures. I have been doing a lot of reading and I was thinking about upgrading to the RPM carriers. I do not plan on racing, just some bakc yard bashing... not mega jumps... mainly through the woods. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding upgrades to the suspension or should I go with the philosophy of upgrade it when I break it. Thanks

the revo is pretty solid ...i say upgrade when you break it .....i only broke 2 things on my revo ... 1 front upper arm ( 30mph crash with a F150 bumper in winter)....and a rear bulkhead ( very bad jump landing ) ..and I'm still using that same bulkhead after fixing it ;)

I've only been into rc for a few months now, but already got a little graveyard of broken parts. Front A arms, push rods, axel carrier, cracked drive shaft and bent toe link. I've stocked up on the traxxas brand a arms and other cheap parts, just to have on hand.

A guy i work with has a revo with the wide rpm a arms and the cv drive shafts...looks WAY better than mine.....like it would be a lot harder to turn over. I'd like to set mine up like that one day...looks like it would be just right for backyard bashing.

I would recommend RPM bumpers (front and rear) and the RPM Arms and carriers. Personally, I would wait and replace them when they break.

A wing and a good body really helps protect your exhaust header too, eventually you will bend it too many times.

thanks

Thanks for all of your input... I'll probably buy some parts to have on hand... also what's the most common part that breaks on these vehicles

From my experience, you're probably better off buying at least one of every part "just to have on hand" so that when you go out to drive it or race your day won't be ruined by a part breaking
