Hey guys, I am new to this. I have always been interested and I am an Instrumentation Tech and I learn very quickly. I live close to a beach in texas with lots of loomy sand. I was wondering which people would sugest between the REVO and Slayer. Both look very appealing to me. Also, what is brushless and any other terms I may need to know? Thank You

They are both good trucks. They are also build on the same chassis. If you were to buy a revo and wanted to turn it into the slayer all it would take is some suspension pieces. I would say for all around bashing the Revo is the way to go. I have one and love it. I also have a 4x4 short course truck and its fun but not a versatile as the revo.

And to answer your other question, a brushless is a type of electric motor. Nothing you will need to worry about if you are looking at nitro cars.

To go a little bit further as far as the brushless and brushed motors go, brushless uses super strong magnets as opposed to brushes like a standard electric motor uses, brushless motors imho make more power and last much longer

Hey guys, thanks a lot... Ya I'm basically looking to tear some some stuff up... What about websites to get additions such as bodys and wheels and such. I'm sure I will be addicted. I have found the slayer for 350 shipped and he revo for like 450 shipped.. Anybody know of anywhere with cheaper prices?

Spend as much time as you can stand reading this site and browsing ebay. Amainhobbies, rcsuperstore and check out the vendors lounge on here. Just read, read, read.
