my revo's mot shifting! i've tried leaning it out(cuz that works on my maxx) but nothings happening.

Has it been shifting normally before this point?
In the owners manual of the revo is a section on adjusting the shift point of the tranny, you can start there, the shift point might just be set really high.

its a pretty new revo, but ill try the shift point adjustment.

Usually when the Revo doesn't shift, you need to adjust the shift point according to the manual. My Revo had the same problem.

Whatever you do, DO NOT back the screw out. My neighbor did that and it screwed (haha pun) up his gears. He had to buy new ones.

Also, like m00n said, a little goes a long way. It's just like tuning the engine--no more than 1/8 turn at a time.

I would check your carby and make sure its opening 100%. Mine wouldnt shift when it was only opening ~60-70%.

hope its not but I just did a tear down of my tmaxx 3.3 trans because it would not shift.Ended up the pin that holds the primary clutch to the shaft was broken and it ripped into the primary clutch housing.Put a new one in$15.00 but have not tested yet I will let ya know as soon as I do.

I too backed mine out too far. Fortunately i caught it before i drove the truck again, and saved myself having to buy new gears.

Also, it is possible to back it out to the point to where the screw is losing contact with the spring (without damaging the transmission), if this is the case, you MAY be starting out in second gear (and consequently not shifting, and having sluggish performance)

You may check the slipper clutch... if it is too loose, it will not shift. I had to tighten mine up to get it to shift properly.

All fixed and shifting great. Now the easy start is chewing gears. I did run two tanks this time though and the truck is flyin.

i will try that, i've got it to shift a couple of times but is was going downhill at full throttle.

pull apart your tranny and dissasemble the shifting pin, (where the screw is that you adjust the shift points) there is a little ball in there that you dont want to loose, as well as a small spring, clean everything and then reassemble with wd-40, make sure everything is well lubed, and then reassemble your tranny. you will have to readjust your shift point but it should work better now.
