Hi there. New to the boards....

Has anyone else noticed how loose the wheel, engine mounts and other crucial screws are on a NIB Revo? I stripped my spur gear when shifting into second today, and found most screws were loose... :?

Thanks,
SA

welcome. i had the same problem with my revo. you should put a medium strenght locktite on the wheel nuts and the engine bolts so they dont back out any more. i also had the throttle bell crank screw back out on me a few times, but locktite fixed that problem.

I noticed right out of the box that there were several loose screws on my Revo. I think they should put it in their owners manual to check all of them prior to running. (maybe they do, but I'm pretty sure I read that here and not the manual).
+1 on the locktite for all the engine bolts, even the ones you use to adjust the gear mesh. Mine kept coming loose so I over tightened them and cracked my engine mount, now I use locktite instead of trying to crank them down.

ALL metal to metal screws must have BLUE lock tight on them or otherwise kiss them goodbye.

its a must for all RCs

as for the wheel nuts coming off you can use the same method with the BLUE locktite or you can get some new nylon threaded lock nuts, that should cure that problem. i know for me, once you take them on and off so many times, they will eventually wear out and need to be replaced. sometimes they come with if you buy new wheels. some dont, but just make sure your either using locktite or new nylon lock nuts
