revo 3.3 doesn't always shift

I've noticed with my revo today that it sometimes shifts into a 2nd gear n takes off like crazy but up til this point I never noticed this..and its not all the time..why is that..is there something I can do to get it to shift all the time?

The revo has a second gear to accommodate higher speeds. On the top of the tranny, there should be a rubber cap with a white sticker. Do what the sticker says with the smaller of the two 2 T allen keys. It says shift later is to the right, so turn it to the left to make the shift point earlier

Also make SMALL adjustments then run it, When I adjust my shift points I go 1/8th of a turn at a time until my shift point is where I want it. Warm your engine up first make a few high speed runs then start adjusting your transmission.

I generaly set mine about 85% of peak rpm

It's best to set it to shift early, it will perform better and the engine will not have to rev it's guts out to shift. If you nail the throttle from a dead stop, it should shift about 3 seconds afterr the truck starts moving. If the engine is tuned properly it will perform much better.
