had a spare bumper lying around and made a new mount for the camera...cut out the center section, extended some tubes for longer bolts and put it up front..now the video should look better next time and the camera should be protected in a rollover...this weekend will be the 1st trial of this setup!

that looks like a good idea..wat kind of camera is it and does it shoot in good quality???

the quality is ok...it's doesn't have a good frame rate - if you watch the video it is choppy - i got the kit from xheli.com for $40 - camera that has a plug for either 110 volt or a 9v battery - and a reciever base with RCA outputs..not a bad deal for the $40 - it's designed as a small security camera...the range to the base is only like 100 feet and you can see as the truck goes away from it it starts to break up - it's really better suited to Helicopters and stuff like that....it shoots like 640x480 - and is color and has the microphone in it as well...it is small - comes with a small pedestal base that i broke on my 1st rollover ;) then i did this latest mount for it...

nice vid, but no roll over in it ?? i prefer using my digital camera though.......... i can mount it to the rear body mount bridge (using the space where the easy start block would be) sliding a small coach bolt through and into the base of the camera itself where the tripod would normally mount.

Can i offer some advice ??

try to "roll in" the throttle rather than "stab" at it. it's a style that takes some getting used to, but once mastered allows finer control of the engine and, thus, of the rig. Great for keeping a bit more control of speed in corners too.

i'm not a beginner by any means sonny! :-P ...so i know to roll into the throttle...but the motor was tight because i was still breaking it in and it was being more abrupt - plus the rear suspension was set soft for jumps..so it squatted back more than it should for casual running...this was just a trial setup - the new bumper mount and some more tanks will yield some better footage.....i still use my EZ start and i didn't want to endanger my real digital camera..so i thought i'd try this...25 years in R/C and i always wanted some on board footage...this weekend i'll hopefully get some good stuff...

hehehe...it's all good..just messin with ya....after not having this beast running for a month with a bad engine i was just happy to get it back out there to run it..the camera stuff the 1st go around was just a test - and a bad mount...the front bumper mount should make this better when i adjust the suspension...
