The 2.5R Revo is a great rig and much better than a Maxx.

The only real problem with it out of the box is the shock ends. They tend to stretch and break. This could be fixed by upgrading to aluminum ends or picking up a set from Traxxas that has been upgraded.

The 3.3 has a longer chassis and a .20 size engine.

thats it?would that cause the skids to be different too?

Nope skids are the same, I swap mine out sometimes on accident. In all a revo is the best bang for your buck. I got about 6 gallons on a set of ends last time before replacing them, it just makes it sloppy, but I didnt notice a differnce in handleing. Ditch the Maxx and Get a real truck lol. Oh and the 2.5 is junk imho, and traxxas dosent even make it anymore, as far as a revo goes. The 2.5 chassie is fun to drive, I actually really liked my 2.5 chassie, and would weld the sucker back together if I could lol. A 2.5 with a 3.3 and a trinity pipe, I couldnt get the front end to stay on the ground lol.
