The revo i just got used runs great till it heats up good then it stalls out and wont crank till it cools down. Once it cools for a few mins it fires right back up. I've adjusted the high speed needle to richen it and adjusted again from too rich to what i think is perfect. And the same thing happens. About 1/4 to maybe 1/2 tank into bashing it stalls out and wont restart till it cools. What do i need to do to fix this problem?:\

Most likely a new piston and sleeve.

The symptoms are a classic sign the piston and sleeve are worn out and need replaced.

If you don’t have much experience in diagnosing engine pinch/compression by feel by turning the flywheel with the plug removed, the best way to determine if the P/S are worn out is to remove them from the engine and slide the piston into the bottom of the sleeve (with light coat of lubrication and piston installed in the correct direction). If with light pressure you can push the top of the piston even with or past the top of the sleeve, they are worn and need replaced.
An engine with decent pinch the piston should stop a few mm’s before the top of the sleeve.

Thanks snook. I just ordered a brand new 2.5r for it off ebay for $104 i am gonna order the parts to rebuild this one as well. Thanks for the feedback it helped!

Have you taken a temp reading when it quits? It's very likely that it overheats due to a setting that's too lean.
If it gets hot just idling and running it slowly, you need to richen up the LSN.

I dont have a temp gauge yet but i know that i have gotten the right fuel mix from adjusting it accordingly. Its an old motor with alot of run time on it so snookmans post makes all the sence i needed. I have a new engine on the way plus I'm gonna rebuild the one in it. Thanks for the input though and i plan on installing a onboard digital temp gauge on both my tmaxx and revo.

It does the same thing weather it runs rich or lean anyways. I've spent all day playing with the adjustments to prove it to myself. Plus the truck has been sitting up in the attic fir several years and before that my friend that i got it from run it regular for almost two years on the stock engine with no rebuild.
