i just installed the reverse module and i am having a problem with the throtle servo and it started when i put the reverse servo. and i dont know if this is normal but truck wont move if i push it . it feels like if the brake was pushed.

are u sure the reverse module is installed correctly? I'm assuming ur throttle servo can still work the carb, so I'd take a look to make sure the servo throw on the reverse servo is setup properly. Make sure the servo is extending far enough to properly engage the gears in the reverse.

the hook protuding from the gear box should pretty much be either pushed all the way in or pulled all the way out depending on whether ur in forward or reverse.

hope that helps.

ok thanks. but do the truck should be like if something was applying the brake. or is it because i havet run it .

i all ready took the brake of and it wasn't the brake and i think that its othing wrong with the brake . any help:confused:

iv got an idea some thing i did ill get pics and post 2morrow
:coffee:

why does my truck only goes backwards. and it wont go forward

when u say it only goes backwards, are you are talking about under throttle?

if that is the case, then it does sound like you are not engaging your forward gear correctly.

yeah it only goes backwards.

and how do you engage your forward gear.

you either have to push or pull the sliver hook that comes out of your gear box far enough to change from forward to reverse. I'm not sure which is which, but when it is pushed all the way in, it's one, and when its pulled all the way out its the other. I can't actually see my truck atm so I can't tell u which is which.

are u sure that you have got your radio's third channel set correctly? By using the third channel, you should be able to see the hook being pushed in all the way and being pulled out all the way.

that failing, take some pics of ur trucks underside around the gear box and post'em up.

Dude check it out that servo has to be set up to push that pin all the way in as far as it will go into gear box for forward and all the way out of box for reverse I put mine on opposite but it doesn't matter just now that rev is forward if you do that:madface: Also make sure you change your switch on your transmitter not the one on the handle the one up top 2nd in push it down and make sure that little hook is around that deal on the bottom with that little brass thing holdin it on :ahem:

like screaminsavage said, have u made sure the ur radio is setup properly and u are getting enough movement to push and pull the hook fully in either direction.

if you do not engage ur gears properly you will wear out the gears in the reverse module. if they break, your truck will not move at all, in any direction.

tell us what exactly u have done to try and fix this. what did u do so that ur front wheels don't move anymore

yeah the wheels wont turn anyway. like if the batterty dint have any power to move them. but i think they are stuck. and about the reverse the hook that it has goes all the way in but when it does that the truck wont move and when the hook goes all the way out it only goes backwards.

will ur truck roll forward when u engage the forward gear?

maybe one of the gears in the reverse module are shot. open it up and check.

but i turn it on only a few times.

i havent even run it since i installed the reverse.

when u say u turned it on, do u mean the electonics or the engine as well? it doesn't take much to break the gears. I accidentally shifted by reverse module while I was running. killed off the gears as soon as I pressed the button. it doesn't take much to do it if the engine is actually turning something.

can u list out exactly what u have done while u were installing the module and what u did after u put the truck back together?

It sounds like you may have not installed your reverse module properly. When the stainless steel lever is out, the truck is supposed to go on reverse, this is when your servo is doing the "pulling out" of the reverse module, therefore it is engaged. This should happen only when you switch the tranmitter switch to "R" making the servo move and therefore pulling that stainless steel lever causing it (trans) to engage in reverse.

When the lever is "in" it should go all the way in. If not, then you will experience some sort of "neutral" position, your truck won't move at all, this is bad for your trans, the lever is not all the way in. When it's in, that is a rest position, the switch on your tranmitter should be at "N" and your truck should move forward.

One thing I would make sure, the wire and silicone tubes help the servo and the reverse module work hand-in-hand. Make sure that you tighten all your bolts and the wire that pulls the stainless steel lever is snug fit.

ok. my truck all ready moves back and forward . but now the proble is the stering servo it wont move the wheels in any direction.

are the wheels not moving even when u hold the truck off the ground? move them by hand and see if they are binding any where. also check ur reciever batts.

how did u get ur truck to move forwards and backwards btw? what was wrong with it just out of curiosity.
