What say all of you about the reverse module with the mixer. I know with my other rigs back in the day it was a pain in the behind every time you got in a position where you couldn't go forward, or do you not get in those predicaments LOL.
And I was on LRP's web site and I couldn't find any prices. Then again I was so tired I was seeing double. Did I miss something? If I didn't what's it going to cost me for their 32 work over, broken in, with a tuned pipe. I don't want much but when it comes to engines I want all I can get.
Again thanks for your help and knowledge. I'm learning something new almost every time I log in. Like the hair dryer trick for a new engine, and engine warmers really. I thought the tire warmers were a trick item. What's next?
I retract that last question.

I've never owned a reverse module, but I hear they can be bad for your transmissions OWB (one way bearing)

As for engines what do you wanna do go faster, or have killer torque?
If its faster go for a picco .28, and if its torque then any engine over .30 should work.
A really great pipe can be had at: http://www.extremercmods.com/
You can also send him an engine and he'll modd I for you.

I've heard a lot about the LRP engines. Top speed isn't all that important so I guess it's more torque, a little no a lot of both would be nice.
I read the thread about the new guy having all the problems with his 5.9 and frankly I didn't have any problems. I'm also nitro savvy having planes and one other nitro truck back in the day. But the poor guy seemed to be having more than your normal break-in ups and downs. Anyway thanks for the feedback.

Hope it helped, I also didn't have much trouble with my 5.9, it was my k4.6 that was a really pain

IMO. still go with the picco/boost .28, I liked what I seen on YouTube so I ordered a pair o them from www.clockworkracingengines.com, now the sit waiting to be sent out for modding from ERCM. You can also get them modded at clock work racing engine before you even take delivery.

I'm going to order some modded novarossi .28-7RTs from clockworkracingengines after the rest of my parts arrive.

Reverse is a huge gimmick dood, it's deff not worth it and will probably just cause more problems down the road. I also heard u have to hold the breaks for 3 seconds before it will actually reverse, kind of lame...

As for engines these two are my favorites:

Picco Boost 5TR

If u want a torque monster go with the LRP .32 hands down. If ur looking for top end screamer with more RPM's go with the Picco Boost 5TR. The Picco uses higher quality parts and is manufactured in Italy while the LRP is made in Taiwan with slightly lesser quality parts, nothing wrong with that but the difference in craftsmanship is pretty noticeable... But then again my Picco had a crap load of brass shavings inside the crank case and my LRP .32 was completely spotless LOL.

I got the Picco Boost for $197 shipped and the LRP .32 for $182 shipped. Those prices are with coupons and definitely the lowest I've seen for both engines. If ur interested in either one of those I'll try to find that online coupon and get u the same deal I had.

EH32, yea I would appreciate the coupons. Both of your engines where on my mind but I think I'm leanig towards the LRP. I'm not racing just hill climbing in sand and some jumping. I live close to the Columbia river in Washington state and have access to where they dump the sand after they dredge the shipping channels. 30-50 foot climbs are the norm. It's clean with no debris to hit. And on top it's pretty flat easy to make jumps and tracks. So I'm thinking the .32 what do think? What about the pricing on LRP's web site, I couldn't find any, or do you have to call?

Reverse sucks. Originally built for the .21. Anything more will grenade the assembly.

I have Picco/LRP .28's and the .32. The .28's will out run the .32 The .32 will do great in a big heavy truck or anything that needs a lot of tourque.

Hahaha no way man I live in Seattle and go fishing at the Columbia river in the summer time I know exactly what ur talking about, I always wanted to mess around in the dunes lol.

LRP .32 is exactly what u need for those dunes and u should probably pick up some sand paddle tires too. Don't worry about buying directly from LRP, buy from one of there US retailers. I like Amain Hobbies as there located in Cali so shipping to WA state isn't that long of a wait either.

Simple create an account with Amain and apply the coupon code right before checkout.

There u go buddy!!!

Thanks a lot for the coupons. Yea sand is a soft medium for crashes to. Did you here that within a year you will not be able to keep any Sturgeon on hook and line, in other words the sports fishermen. Yet the nets keep going in!

That's what my cousins and I go there for, we go to catch those big ass sturgeons of the shore. Man that sucks...

NP man anytime!

I think after reading all this I'm going to return my reverse module & extra servo. Still have not even opened the box yet. sounds like it might cause more damage than what it is worth.
