I'm considering the reverse module, (the one that works with a 2ch radio). Any opinions on this? I think it could be pretty handy in the area I run in...

Thanks!

Dave

I personally do not recommend them. I have blown out three of them in my Savages. One was my fault and the other two just could not handle the power of the engine and sheared. If you have a .28 in it....it's only a matter of time before it shells out then you have to pull the entire tranny to replace the module. Yes it is cool but I would rather deal with turning it around if I need too. That is my best advise....cool but not worth it.

i have it installed in mine and a 3 speed and i have no problems.
i think it just depends on who is using it. come to a stop then put in in reverse and you will have no problem. go fast and put it in reverse then stuff will break.
i have a stock 25 savage that still has the original engine with about 18 gallons of 20% thru it the trans has about 7-8 gallons or more not sure and its still going
it just depends on how you drive
but thats just my opinion

reverse opinion

it's often tempted me to go for the reverse option but ultimately I've let it go without. My thought is that 3 out of four times I have to go get the truck it is because it's on it's lid not stuck in a corner. Plenty of potential trouble and expense and still running 75% of the time!!

I've got one saves me alot of time and energy, only because I run mine in a big gravel pit with steep side hills; sometimes it bogs down in the sandy gravel. My reverse allows me to put it in reverse and get out of my sticky situation. I would get another in a heart beat ..

I wall stand by my statement that they are the biggest weakness in the truck. If you have an engine with any more power than stock...don't do it. Also when you do blow it out you have to pull the whole tranny and split it. For milder powered engines maybe but I will never own another one.
