alright heres the thing , i was running my new os 18tm for my revo , i got her all broken in and holy poop does this thing fly now out of second gear , but thats a whole other story , and half way through my bashig my reverse is gone , i took some spills and yumbles , and when i rev in reverse it sounds like it is turning in the open , not engaging , any ideas how to fix, ??

Look to make sure the servo is working. At best they are weak. If it is activating , make sure it is fully pushing and pulling the reverse lever in and out. Use your fingers to pull it in and out to see if you can get it to engage. If not, You my need to pull the trany and check to see if you trashed the gear/s.

What do you need reverse for anyway. Real men only drive forward. It may be time to look into a FOC.

your a funny man eddy, i m going to do the cinversion but I'm nt sure what to ge tfor the revo , i think its the gears that are finishe dcaus ewhnen i out it in reverse it sounds like metal smacking against metal.where coul di buy a foc, i need to do it soon , apparently it strengthens the car too, get bak to me

problem has been solved, i took a chance of taking apart the tranny and on eof the gears was stipped more than half way

I'd recommend doing either the FOC or the Center diff conversion which includes the FOC. Reverse is really weak on these trucks. I toasted reverse in mine less than 30-days after purchase with the stock 3.3. I did the Center Diff and rear brake conversion on mine.

I agree with Hamz.....However, Before I even ran my Revo, I had installed the Center Diff...So I cannot speak for the durability of reverse....However, I have yet to hear any hardcore folks sing its praises!!! My Center Diff is currently loaded with 300k and I really like the way it drives..Especially for hill climbing and bashing...If it goes out again...I would consider one of the above 2 options...What could end up happening is it could damage other parts of your tranny when it blows....That means downtime......grrrrrrrrrr

ya i got the foc done finally , i didnt want to take any chances again, works really great now, and whts this i here about the diff. and the oil used i am not too familiar with this yet , should i be checking this out ?

I am not familiar with the FOC...The center diff, which I have comes with 100k oil in it....put 300k in mine. I am not sure but I don't think the FOC has a diff.....you are fine....

The center diff kit comes with the stuff for the forward only. But, the forward only does not come with the center diff

On my Revo, I waited until reverse blew, then I added the center diff and rear brake conversion. And as was said before, the center diff conversion includes the FOC. If you're installing more power, I would recommend using the FOC on the Revo (it's included in the BB conversion).

what about the rear brake conversion is that any good or what , easy to instal and what about the price, iam already interested

The rear brake is relatively inexpensive and pretty easy to install...especially since you have already had your tranny out and know the ropes....It went on before I even drove mine for the first time...so I can't give you a comparison...I just know I love the way it works on the truck...You can set up brake bias to your liking and it makes it a little easier to control your car....stopping, braking and steering...but that is just my opinion of it....

I ordered the center diff and rear brake kit this morning, when stuff gets here on the 30th I will let you know how it goes. The rear brake kit was 15 bucks.

I installed both of the kits you ordered at the same time. As long as you are running the 3.3 chassis and Transmission, it;s fairly easy to install the rear brake conversion on the Revo. The hardest part I found was adjusting the bias from front to rear.
