yesterday i messed the pull start up on my maxx or it could have been just the spring but i decided to go get a new pull start incase the bearing was messed up too

anyways this morning i put the new one on and seems like its not catching... its pulling and recoiling on the motor the same as it would in my hand, is there anything special to do or replace along with the starter?

i figured the process would just be in reverse unless i lost a piece that may be needed :\

unless i need to replace the starter shaft and backing plate also, the pull starter i used was for a 2.5 model but from what i read and heard about they are all the same so i dont think its a wrong starter.
