Getting new floors put in the house. Real wood floors not the fake stuff.

The floor company told me it was a 2 day job. Great order the wood schedule a date to do it.

We can do it next monday and tuesday they tell me. Great thats fast Make it so.

I get a call today, We will come rip out your carpet tomorrow morning.

WHAT!!!
O, didn't we tell you the wood needs to be in the house for a week to acclimate to the environment before we install it.

So tomorrow they come an move all my furniture, tear out all the carpet and load 2,550 SF of wood into my living-room.

I can live with that except we have out of town guests coming on wednesday.

Sorry I needed to vent. :( :write:

You must have a huge freaking house to need that much hardwood. Good luck and watch them like a hawk...don't let them cut corners on you.

2,200 SF plus 10% for shrinkage.

If I only knew what to watch for.
I did my research on wood and installation but what the F- do I know?

The only un-known on the pricing is the prep on the concrete floor. If it has high spots the need to grind it, if it has low spots the need to fill it. Give or take $500.00 on the project and I'm sure it will be give.:stick:

Ahhhh....... The memories........

FINALLY!

Someone else dealing with this bullshit! Remodelling that is!

Neeeeener......Neeeeener......Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeener......

:trout:

OMG! No poop! Thats how this all got started! Cause YOU just HAD TO put on that thong to go to Home Depot!

Eddy, I will grab my Floor nailer and chop saw... fly me out to Cali and we will bang it out this weekend:w00t: Custom stair cases are extra:D

After he saw El Pirata's gas grill mod, he just had to have something special of his own...:D

LMAO.
Funny you should say that about a grill. The compromise was I get a new grill. Any one I wanted. I need to talk to El and get some tips.:ninja: This is as close as I could get to a gas mask.

Max,
I put some serious thought to that but I want someone I can sue if they f-it up. I would sure hate to end up with your T-Maxx.8-0

This is the grill I'm looking at.
Ill take this over a shitter any day.

For that price you wont be able to buy any food, so you wont need the shitter?

Thats breadcrumbs as compared to the price of a floor.
If I couldn't afford It, I wouldn't get it.

That's the scarey part...you can affors a $1700 grill. I thought I was a bad ass with my $500 grill. You got me beat and then some...

My un-employment checks go a long way, and Food stamps are at an all time high.

If id of gotten my shitter I would use the BBQ I have now.
I guess this is my way of getting even for not going to Home Depot with me.

Can you say Passive Aggressive.:jet:

Actually, My LBS (local BBQ store) has a damaged one for $999.
Its still a lot of $$ but has a lifetime guarantee.

I've heard that the cost of living is high in CA?

Let me know when you throw your first BBQ, Id drive down from Idaho to eat a hot dog off a $1000 grill.

When you put it like that I feel guilty.:dumb:

The cost of living is relative.
If you speak Spanish, Mc Ds pays 15.00 per hour and if you only speak english, the high-tech folks can't find a job.

If your Sean Penn you can have your Car stolen from Berkley during an anti- war lunch and report to the police that the two hand guns you kept under the seet for self defense were missing when it was recovered.
Go figure

I got my badass BBQ last night and boy is it a nice one.
It took 3 people to lift the head onto the cart. The head unit alone is 95 kg = 209lbs of Stainless steel. The cooking grids are over 10 lbs each. This is one TUFF SOB. -xmas-

agm130 Come On Down... Your hotdog is cooking. If your nice ill even through you a few bones (Ribs).

hay Eddy, Make sure you clean it really well after each use. I know someone who had a stainless, but it turned yellow. Just to warn you. When I bought mine, I went to the same company, BBQ Galore. They had a bunch of stainless, but swayed me away for the yellowing issue. Just make sure you clean it though so you wont have to worry about it. I have a monster 4 burner captin cook. I could BBQ a whole pig in there, but its not as nice as the beauty you got.

The Cptn Cooks are great! You can get a QUALITY good one for a reasonable price. BBQ Galore is a great place.

They gave me some foaming SS cleaner to use on the outside. Just like everything else maintenance is a must.

Thanks for the heads up.

I also have had a SmokinTex for a few years and I love it.
