Hey, I was wondering what all you find to be relaxing music. Been gettin a lot more frustrated lately and need something to calm down to...I like stuff w/ fairly soft tones, and little to no voices, or something w/ soft voices. But not like stuff where the person is actually saying something, you know what I mean? Like, where it's some kinda other language or jus kinda jibberish. Any suggestions? And, not like nature stuff, like actual music I mean.

- Thanks.

anything i have on my ipod mini, will do the job but, what really clams me down is something with a lot of bass to play in my trucks' system.

Harry Connick Jr. Always seems to sooth me. But I do know that once I fell asleep listening to Dmx, and the next morning I was so shortfused I could have bit someone.. Was pretty insane. Now I only listen to it before games..lol

acoustic reggae for me at this very moment. Earl Chinna Snmith's Inna De Yard

Hmmmm, Iwould have to agree with woodie. Old blue eyes is great. Connick sounds like him too so that's on my list as well. Those are what I listen too when I just want to cool down and just zone out. Not that hard since that's the type of music my dad listened to when I was growing up. Hated it then, don't mind it so much now.

There's also Marvin Gaye, Nat King Cole and good ole jazz like Stanley Jordan, Boz Scags, Kenny G, Manhattan transfer ...

i dont see how thrash metal music can calm you cats down. when i hear that stuff I'm ready to find a space shuttle to jump out of.

Well sometimes the real heavy stuff works for people, usually wut theyve been listening to the longest, like sometimes, I can just pop in LP Hybrid theory, and doze right off....

Thanks for all the input guys!

Won't catch me listening to blue eyes while on a long drive. I'll get sleepy! I'd rather listen to some 80's music (I'm showing my age) and just have a good time.

cvec... one of my favorite bands is called 311. Listen to their songs called "Ill be here awhile" "Amber" "All Mixed Up" and a bunch of others. They arent boring, but relaxing and an awesome sound. I think you'd like them.

311 rules, but their music makes me get my ass up and move, not calm down. If I need to crash, I may do into something like "The Dark Side of the Moon" or if I really want to chill, George Winston or Enya.

Metal, punk, and industrial are my favorites, but to mellow I like to listen to maybe some Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, or another really cool older band called Tangerine Dream. If you can find their album thief its awesome to mellow out to.

I was kidding.... When I want to just relax, I'll throw on some Steve Vai or Joe Satriani...
