Okay well today my buddy got a redcat racing lighting touring car. He just wants to know what you all know about them if any? let me know thanks.

I don't know if many people here are fans of Redcat racing products. There is a Redcat Racing forum as well as this Australian forum which mainly deals with HSP/Redcat racing products.

For the aussie forum, search for plaig rc in google.

.......and just for the record, I have a 1/8 Monsoon (HSP Swarm or Searover) and a 1/8 Hurricane (HSP Bazooka) and I love them. All parts are readily available for me too.

i just got a redcat racing lightning VX. it was the cheapest on road nitro my hobby shop had. besides being put together crappy from the factory ( many loose nuts and bolts and loose throttle linkage ) and not being able to get it started for many days. its not to bad for the money ( est. $200 with gas and tool/ignitor set, some extra glow plugs and a fuel filter) i think its worth it for a noob like my self. no sense buying the biggest baddest one for a first timer. and they also have many upgrades from up plates to engines.. hope that helps
