yes it does look nice. i would totally put down redcat. i mean every company used cheap parts when building production RCs. red cat maybe just alittle more cheap than the rest. but when i got my on road up and running and i see how fast it goes. its all worth the $150 i spent

Either way you look at it, any of these hobby rc cars, even the cheapest one you can buy, is better than a toy. They just break more :D

well said!

all i know is if it can't be broken. whats the point of having the hobby if you can't fix anything. thats the way i look at it. they make it just crappy enough to make it worth the effort when something breaks. i frown when something breaks. but nothing can beat the smile on my face when its buzzing down the street at 40+MPH running perfectly =]

what a hobby this is indeed!

i had one of those piece of crap x-mods and i played with it for about 10 seconds before i realized just how sad it was that i waisted 100 bucks on it. i will never go back to wallmart rc cars but then again i do hate maintenance but its worth it going through maintenance to get a car or truck faster than 5mph

It's so much more fun though with someone to race. We really need to get together. My Tmaxx against your car. If I lose I get to run you over! naw, :jk: :D

when you get your max back. and i get my revo. ill come take a trip down that way and we can bash for a bit. hows that sound? and ill bring my on road down there too. we can mess around with that tuning a little also if you wouldnt mind =]

Sure! I'll have to tell my parents you're coming though LOL. If the pond is dry enough we can set up a ramp. I've got a perfect little sheet of plywood I bought just for a ramp.

i think that rig looks pretty sweet! though it jumps like a dog and lands like a rock!! love the 4 wheel drive and it will be way cheaper then any fg you can hook up with. I'm sure its not the best or anything, but its a steller way to get started in 5th scale.. i think that lots of people throw out those "its crap" statements couse weve been spoiled with such quality rc's like hpi and traxxas. and we pay for that quality as well. every rc has its place. and i think that redcats is on the ground..lol. i'd buy it..

sounds like a plan my man!.

and as far as Redcat is concerned. for the price. its definatly a great little car. and about that 1/5 I'm sure it will be priced to sell. not saying i would buy it but for someone that is just getting into the hobby and wants to learn and do it yourself. i would definetly recomened it

Wonder if it will come in a kit form like the Baja.

Something this big probably won't be as cheap as their other products but I'm sure it won't be anywhere near Baja products.

My dad says he'll plan a trip to my grandmother's house sometime soon. Hopefully by then I'll have gotten a new engine from Traxxas.

Although, if you come to my house I can introduce you to my nitro expert neighbor. He's got a Revo, a Serpent, 2 RS4's, and a couple others.

ok man sounds great! ill send you a PM and we can set something up. or ill probably be on AIM in a little while and we can chat. as for now I'm gonna get on my rarely used Xbox 360 and play some forza motorsports 2!

... And it's a 4wd, too. Looks like they have an interesting design there, but I have to wonder about the quality.

Man, this thing looks beast! Can't wait for their supposed 1/5th forum to come up so we can check out the quality of this thing.

If it pulls through I may have to get one, since I was planning on buying a Baja anyways. If this isn't as prone to crappiness as their other stuff I'm all over it.

As some of you know, HPI owns the rights to a 1/5 scale monster truck. It's 4WD, as well. It's basically a 1/5 scale savage with a gasser engine, really insane. If they decide to mass produce it, I may have to get two of them. The video of it jumping and stuff is incredible.
