i havent used my revo for about 10 days (on vacation), and when i came back i charged the battery and went to turn the reciever on and nothing happend. i turned the swich off and tried again and again and it finally kicked on. i drove it an hour later and had to do the same thing. i got snow on it before it left but i hit it with some wd-40. but could the water be my problem. when i ran it, it worked fine. it was as responsive as normal. why would it be doing this?

Some contacts got wet, and now there is enough corrosion on them to prevent a good connection. It's very likely it is in the switch itself.

so it is just a good idea to get a new one then?

You might be able to salvage it. Blow some WD-40 into it and just keep working it back and forth. WD will work, but I used TV tuner cleaner. It's about $5 at Radio Shack, but I always have a can around. The new switch might be about that same price. It worked for me, when I got mine wet.
You really need to shoot it in real good around the slide. If you have an air compressor, it would help to get it blown in there.
Disconnect the battery from the system, since you need to work the switch on and off about 10 times, then hit it again with WD and air. After about 5 times of doing this, the contacts should have cleaned themselves. I never had another problem with mine, but you still might want to replace it in the near future.

alright, is the tv cleaner the same as electronic cleaner because i have some of that. thanks for all the help.

hey thanks rolex, the switch is now working like new again. can't wait til morning. thanks again.
