I am planning on buying a 6v 1100mah nimh hump pack from onlybatterypacks.com . They say it fits Savage does anyone know if it does? or if anyone is or has used them how are they?? it comes with a gold plated BEC connector or I can pick either Futaba J or Universal (Hitec,JR,Airtronics Z) which connector do I need???

Dude do you have a link to which one you will be getting. I believe with that battery you will not need to change the batter wire harness at all. Should just plug right in. If you already have the savage you should be able to look at which one plugs directly in to the battery harness. It's just the two pole connector that you will need.

I just got my Savage .25 its still in the box and i'm at work so I can't look at it now.. I'm new at this and don't know how to post links but the batteries are on Ebay its item # 3193873098

That looks like a good pack because you can charge it through the Tamiya type connector( the bigger one)

nitromadman , I take it that you looked at them on ebay?? could you look at them again , and if you scroll down you'll see 3 connectors A , B , and C which one will work in the stock Savage .25
Thanks

You want connector A for the stock savage 25

Ya know it might just that I have received a bad battery, The previous owner of my truck had it and it does not seem to work quite so well these days for some reason. Ya might ask around to see other people's expereince I am probably going to have to get a new bat pack.

Really!! you have the same one and it's not so good ?? thanks a lot i'll look into them before i get one.... thanks for the info on the connector too

Dude honestly I am not sure if they are bad all together I just know I received mine used so that could be half of the problem. With that being said just do your research seeing as how you could have a little nicer one for only a little more money.
