I have discovered a new type of battery. Well, new to me anyway.

It's called Lithium Iron Phosphate, or LiFePO4. Mostly you'll see it as LiFe.

Does anyone know anything about these batteries? I found them at this website
http://www.all-battery.com/tenergylife66v1700mahReceiverHumpPackBattery.aspx

30 bucks is a little steep, but if they're better then LiPO, then they might be worth it

I read a little about them at Wikipedia, but you can't trust wiki 100% on everything.

I just read about them in a recent issue of Popular Mechanics. I believe they were using them in unmanned drones, but I didn't get much info on the batts since I thought they were just a governmental excuse for budget overruns.
Battery technology is the future, so high capacity cells will soon be plentiful and inexpensive.

from what i have heard, they have all the pro's of lipo, without that whole "fireball/explosion" thing if you charge or discharge wrong.

lessen or someone had one for sale recently.

So 30 is worth it? I was looking at them to put in my RX pack so I could stop wasting AA batteries

Apparently they don't "self drain" either. You can charge them and use them a month later without loss of power. That alone makes them worth it.

Alright, I guess my next paycheck goes to LiFe battery and charger

Now the question is Intellect or ProTek brand?
