is there any solution to this receiver box?it takes me 20 min to line up the tray and the wires so the cover fits correctly everytime i change my Batts.,i moved my switch to the side of my chassis so i dont need to remove the body everytime, someone needs to make something???any ideas?

Thanks for reminding me of the bad times in my Savage. The idea of the radio box is great, the execution sucks balls. There's really no trick to taking it in and out, aside from luck.

Replace the stock battery holder and AAs with a 5 cell hump pack, add a charging lead coming out of the box, then you don't have to open it again, well at least for the batteries.

Yeah, I agree that the rcx box is a good idea. However, they could have made it a little bigger. At least make the posts a little longer. It takes me a couple of tries putting the clips in place.

Later...:mex:

POsts???? what posts on the radio box?? oh wait you mean the 3 posts that broke off on mine. i need to go buy a new box now that they all broke off. but some ppl dremel the 2 front holes outso it is easier to puth the cover on. if i find the pics i will post a link.

I´m working on a aluminium and carbon fiber battery box to replace the standard one, it really su..ks:(

Same here, its all about luck if i ever get it on. Usually i just put 2 of the three clips on because it takes to long and i am to lazy to get all of them on.

While I do not have the difficulty that many describe with this box, the best solution is the one NC Nitro mentioned with one modification. They make a charge jack that can be attached to the lid. I'll see if I can dig it up, but it basically allows you to plug your charger into the lid of the box when charging and comes with a protective cap for when you are racing or bashing.
