I have had my Savage X for 6 mos with the HPI TF-3 radio that came with the RTR truck. It has been running great until it had a minor encounter with a small tree , not at wot . Since then it runs erratic at full throttle. Keeps cutting in and out. The servo arm is actual rotating back and forth. It seems OK at idle and low speed, but starts acting up when accelerating, The steering is fine . When I tap the receiver box the throttle servo will cut in and out.
Does this sound like a problem with the receiver board or the servo? Is there and upgrade receiver without getting a entire new radio and receiver.

Make sure wireing is ok and definetly make sure no wires are PINCHED under the tray cover.... Usually thats a good chance of making that exact same prob

Probably a loose or damaged crystal in the receiver. I had the same problem once. At high RPM the motor would cut in and out etc. The excessive vibration at high RPM seemed to be a major cause. I checked the receiver crystal and it was seated properly, but must have had internal damage. After changing the crystal everything was fine. Change your crystals and you should be fine. Remember that the receiver and transmitter have to be on the same frequency.
